EARLY CAREER

Starting as an intern at Southern Living, Kathleen diligently worked and soaked up all she could, eventually transitioning to Hoffman Media as a prop stylist where she continued to build her portfolio. It was during this time that Kathleen truly found her passion for petals and props, working to refine her unique style and hone in on her craft.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

As more requests for freelance work began to come her way, she decided to take the leap and venture out on her own creating Kathleen Varner | Petals and Props. Today, Kathleen has had the opportunity to work with a variety of publications including Real Simple, Flower Magazine, Southern Living, Veranda, Food and Wine, and Country Living.

PERSONAL LIFE

When she’s not propping or knee-deep in blooms, you can find her spending time with her husband, their son and daughter and their two pups!
